Middle School Curriculum

Lone Star Online Academy at Roscoe (LSOA) believes in finding new ways of learning that work for all kinds of students. That's why we use the Stride K12 curriculum. It was created by an experienced team of educators using proven instructional approaches.

  

At the middle school level, students take courses in the core subjects listed below, and self-guided electives in music and world languages. They also have the chance to take career exploration courses starting in 7th grade to help them discover their interests and begin selecting career fields they may wish to pursue.

Middle school students begin to consider more long-term goals by discovering their interests in various career fields. Our Stride Career Prep program allows 7th graders to take career exploration courses where they get a broad overview of job fields.

**The K12 K–8 course descriptions are a complete list of the K–8 courses that K12 provides. While LSOA offers a comprehensive selection of courses, not every K12 K–8 course is available to LSOA students. Information on specific courses are provided upon enrollment. For details, please ask your Personal Admissions Liaison (PAL) during the enrollment process.
