Middle School Curriculum

Lone Star Online Academy at Roscoe (LSOA) believes in finding new ways of learning that work for all kinds of students. That’s why we use the K12 curriculum. It was created by an experienced team of educators using proven instructional approaches.

At the middle school level, students take courses in the core subjects listed below, and self-guided electives in music and world languages. They also have the chance to take career exploration courses starting in 7th grade to help them discover their interests and begin selecting career fields they may wish to pursue.

Preparing Middle School Students for College and Career

Middle school students begin to consider more long-term goals by discovering their interests in various career fields. In 7th grade, students can participate in our career and college prep program and take career exploration courses to get a broad overview of job fields. This insight will help them better choose a career pathway in high school, giving them a competitive edge for college and career.
